Secondary clients share the bandwidth of a wireless connection back to your main router. Difference between Client Bridge and Repeater BridgeĪ standard wireless bridge (Client Bridge) connects wired clients to a secondary router as if they were connected to your main router with a cable. Use a wireless bridge to transparently connect computers in one room to computers in a different room when you cannot-or don't want to-run an Ethernet cable between the two rooms.

DHCP clients in one segment can get their addresses from a DHCP server in the other segment. Since the computers are on the same subnet, broadcasts reach all machines. The two segments are in the same subnet and look like two Ethernet switches connected by a cable to all computers on the subnet.

repeater Condominium pool side, a lot of clients messing arround. R7000 testing XVortex/Merlin's firm as AP home, VOIP, wifi printer, Roku 3 & 8 clients, Guest wifi, 2 wifi cameras, USB storage. May be i am a bit concervative, but i think an old router goes with its old best firm. Revert back to firm that was made for the time wrt600n was a star, new firms works great for new boxes with new/fast components, 600n was in it moment the last word with two radios router, mine is working non-stop and contributing me earn momey at my warehouse, but with its time firmware. Location: Buenos Aires-Argentina, End of World and new Pope's home. I think it's more a bug then anything else Or even if I go to reboot via the gui / telnet / ssh, same result. Well yes that works, but far from ideal, I usually cron to reboot daily and now my daily reboot results in a lockup. I am far from a guru, I'm barely a novice. Try unplugging it and plugging it back in. This was not present in the older firmware, I have already done the 30/30/30 reset, I've even downgraded the firmware to make sure the issue didn't exist previously and once downgraded the issue is no longer present, it appears in at least this newest firmware and possibly others, my only option right now is to pull the power on the router - does anyone know of this bug or is there a place I can post the bugs?
#Dd wrt v24 sp2 to use the 5 ghz repeater upgrade
Hi all, for the longest while I ran the firmware that is listed in the router DB, however to get access to some new features I decided to upgrade to this version "DD-WRT v24-sp2 (04/09/15) mega - build 26653", all went smooth however since then I can no longer reboot the router cleanly, it appears to almost reboot where by only the power light is blinking and then just hangs there.
